Kerio MailServer is a full featured corporate mail server with encrypted access to user mailboxes and strong anti-spam features aimed at eliminating mail abuse by both internal users and spammers. Unlike some solutions, Kerio MailServer forwards every piece of email, whether inbound or outbound, to the scanning solution regardless of how the mail is being accessed by the user. This removes the major drawback of anti-virus SMTP gateways where a piece of email is checked only when sent using SMTP protocol.
