Nexus, Droid, Pre, Pixi join the roster of smartphone options in Kerio Connect 7 RC1Version 7 of Kerio Connect (previously known as Kerio MailServer) adds support for new smartphones. The new Nexus and Droid phones featuring the Android operating system are extremely powerful new devices, and feature support for the Exchange ActiveSync protocol. This means contacts and calendars can be wirelessly synchronized with Kerio Connect 7. Palm has introduced several new powerful smartphones based on webOS such as Palm Pixi and Palm Pre, which also features Exchange ActiveSync support that is now supported by Kerio Connect 7. Support for these new devices adds to the existing range of smartphones, including iPhone, Nokia E/N series, any Windows Mobile 5 or 6 device, Palm OS based phones and most BlackBerry devices running AstraSync or NotifySync.

The Nexus does not support native calendar syncing with Exchange (or Kerio). You need a 3rd party app like Touchdown to get this to work. I'm assuming - as this is a Nexus One problem - KC7 will not change this inconvenience.

Sure would be nice for Blackberry BES support via some modification using Activesync instead of having to reply on Astrasync or Notifysync. Any plans?

Android is great, but I'm
Android is great, but I'm going to have to swap 80 Blackberries for Androids and sink the cost of BES. It would be fantastic if I could just slide the BBs over from Exchange/BES....Astrasync or Notifysync work great, but ruin the cost effectivness we can show our client to convince them to move over to Kerio.

BES integration would be nice.. Would love to get exchange out of the picture; plan is to migrate the remaining 80 users from BB to smart phones then rid ourselves of BES, but until then stuck with exchange.

BB are going to be dead in
BB are going to be dead in less then 2 years, in one year I have had 60 percent of my clients move to android phones. Kerio should look at producing their own android sync app for the droids. Mail, Address Book, GAL, Notes and Tasks is what they need to focus on the Android app. It really shouldn't be that hard for Kerio since they already have the code for the server.

I got an android, samsung acclaim, and used both the gmail (personal) and the email features (kerio for work). the kerio worked great for a week or so, but I am receiving emails to the "inbox", but I have 3 other folders that email goes to- joe@..., wineclub@..., and myfriends@....
These folders are no longer syncing or refreshing. They have not updated since July 15th? Not sure what changed.?????
