Kerio Control, the ESXi-est firewall on the planet

One of the unique things about Kerio Control is that since it is a software firewall, it can be deployed in a virtual environment, which is something I can't do with appliance based firewalls. But the coolest part is now that it is available in OVF format, it is now easier than ever to import into my existing Vmware environment. It isn’t necessary to download anything, just copy the URL and paste it into the vSphere client.

Kerio unveils new anti-virus partner, Sophos

Technology partnerships are key to delivering high quality, competitive products and services, and this is especially true in the information security industry. Expertise in a given area is developed over years at great expense, and it often makes more sense to acquire proven technology rather than try to build it. Such is the case with anti-virus, a critical component of Unified Threat Management solutions.

Kerio StaR: Does the Internet seem slow today?

If you're a network administrator, probably you've heard this question at some point in your career, if not every other day. With so much multimedia and content available on the web today, it's really easy for a user to tie up your network. Recently on our network here in San Jose we had to lay down some rules, the hard way.

Distributed Domain: Bringing offices together

Before we launched Kerio Connect, we had a customer who was trying to implement groupware across multiple offices with multiple servers in many locations. When companies have large numbers of people or more than one location, they may think twice because everyone points back to the same mail server. That mail server is the biggest single point of failure. How can we mitigate that risk?

Dude, where's my bandwidth!?

Much has changed since Kerio’s first soft router/firewall product was launched in 1997. The predominant small business Internet connection options at the time were dial-up and ISDN, the Web was still in version 1.0, Spam was a luncheon meat, and the Cloud consisted solely of water vapor. Through all of the advances and improvements in technology since then, many businesses still face the same problems.
